Skull on Silverleaf
I wanted to experiment with the simplicity of just one color and white. I painted this skull with cremnitz white and schevenings purple brown. It was within these bounds that I was really able to first appreciate the silverleaf as a color in itself, and depending on the level of translucency I allowed for, the silverleaf could have a strong say in flexing the temperature and intensity of the translucent layer, acting like a kind of light within the paint itself.
This painting ships free and fully framed and ready to hang.
The size with the frame is 5x6”
