Caring for your brushes is of course very important, and it’s not all that hard. In this series of videos I’ll demonstrate how to both clean and treat your brushes after a day of painting, and how to restore your brushes if you accidentally let one sit so long that paint dried it to a husk. These care techniques are intended for oil painting brushes, though some of them may transfer to water based mediums as well. I also recommend that you occasionally use hair conditioner on your brushes. You can let it sit in them overnight or for some time, and then rinse it out with water, the brush hairs will love you for it.
